A primetime premiere shocker rocked the housemates and audiences alike on Telemundo’s La Casa de los Famosos during last night’s premiere. Former Miss Universe and Hispanic television personality Alicia Machado made a surprise entrance during the first episode of the new reality competition, which airs live weeknights at 7pm/6c. Machado now joins the group of personalities living under the same roof, totally disconnected from their families and the outside world, doing whatever it takes to avoid elimination and win the $200,000 cash prize.

One of U.S. Hispanic television’s most renowned personalities, Machado’s stellar career includes telenovelas, films, and reality shows. Crowned Miss Universe in 1996, the Venezuelan beauty has starred in several prominent television productions, including Telemundo’s Sunday night show, “Gran Oportunidad,” “Unforgivable,” “Brilla Por Ti,” and “¡He Matado A Mi Marido!,” among others.

Machado’s addition to La Casa de los Famosos will add another layer of intrigue for the other houseguests, which include Gaby Spanic, Pablo Montero, Christian de la Campa, Celia Lora, Uriel del Toro, Tefi Valenzuela, Cristina Eustace, Roberto Romano, Jorge Aravena, Kimberly Flores, Anahí Izali, Daniel Vargas, Gisella Aboumrad, Verónica Montes and “Exatlón Estados Unidos’” finalist, Kelvin Rentería. After the recent birth of his son, Christian Estrada has exited the reality show to be with his family.

Beginning today, Telemundo premieres La Casa de los Famosos, Sin Censura, offering viewers an exclusive look at everything happening in the house beyond its nightly primetime edition. Hosted by Jorge Bernal and Verónica Bastos, the half-hour show will air live weekdays at 11 am/10c.

La Casa de los Famosos’ multiplatform format features two-hour weeknight episodes on linear television and 24/7 exclusive access via Telemundo.com. Viewers can also enjoy an unfiltered and uncut live streaming feed in addition to exclusive content, video blogs, and unedited confessions. The audience will also have the opportunity to vote to determine who leaves the house and who will ultimately win the competition.

Based on the global phenomenon “Big Brother VIP,” La Casa de los Famosos is a new primetime reality competition where viewers witness how 16 popular Hispanic personalities from different origins, backgrounds, attitudes, and generations coexist under the same roof. Hosted by renowned TV personalities Héctor Sandarti and Jimena Gállego, the house features over 50 hidden cameras and 60 microphones set to capture every aspect of their lives, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Willing to do anything to remain in the house, the participants will give their all to win the fans’ vote and be the last one standing, winning a $200,000 cash prize.

Audiences will be able to watch episodes live or catch up on the Telemundo app, available on Google Play Store and Apple Store, or by visiting Telemundo.com. Fans can join the conversation on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter via @Telemundo and by following #LaCasaDeLosFamosos and #LCDLF.

La Casa de los Famosos is an Endemol Shine Boomdog production for Telemundo under the executive production of Francisco “Cisco” Suarez, Executive Vice President of Primetime Non-Scripted Programming for Telemundo, with Pablo Alonso serving as showrunner of the reality competition.
