Bunim/Murray Productions, a division of Banijay Americas and producers of global sensation The Challenge, has partnered with actor, filmmaker and action star Alan Ritchson (Reacher, Fast X) on a new competition series, Predator vs. Prey it was announced today by Julie Pizzi, President & CEO, Bunim/Murray Productions.
Ritchson, best known for his commanding performance as Jack Reacher in Prime Video’s hit series Reacher, will serve as host, game master and executive producer on this ultimate survival series.
Predator vs. Prey throws 15 fan-favorite survival stars from series like Alone, Outlast, Naked & Afraid and Survivor against each other in a thrilling game of hide and seek that takes place across a 25-square mile rugged wilderness course. The rules are simple, survive the wild and survive the chase for 21 days.
Predators aim to capture Prey and can bank up to $500,000 per season. While the Prey will earn cash prizes for staying in the game. Each episode will feature a unique new challenge that shakes up the game and forces people out of hiding. Gayani Wanigaratne, Bunim/Murray’s SVP, Development, developed the concept for Predator vs. Prey with Ritchson.

Ritchson is currently in production on the fourth season of Reacher, reprising his titular role and serving as executive producer. The series remains a massive critical and consumer success for Prime Video, with season three becoming the platform’s most-watched returning season—amassing 54.6 million global viewers in its first 19 days.
Ritchson continues to demonstrate his range, having wrapped production on several high-profile projects, including producing and starring opposite Owen Wilson in The Runner. Additional completed productions include the Netflix sci-fi adventure War Machine; the gritty action-thriller Motor City with Shailene Woodley and Ben Foster; the Prime Video action buddy comedy Playdate opposite Kevin James, which he executive produced; and the Prime Video holiday family comedy The Man With The Bag alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger for which he also produced.
Furthering his momentum, Ritchson is set to produce and star in Painter, penned by John Wick scribe Derek Kolstad, and will reprise his role in the untitled 11th installment of Universal Pictures’ Fast and Furious blockbuster franchise.
