CMT today announced that the wildly popular series, The Last Cowboy will premiere commercial free on Friday, November 17 at 8PM ET/PT.
From Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan, The Last Cowboy is a documentary-competition series chronicling the elite Western horse-riding competition of horse reining. Men and women face off against one another as they guide their horses through a precise pattern of circles, spins and stops. In 2019, Sheridan upped the ante, launching the “Run for a Million,” an arena-based reining competition with a prize worth $1 million that takes place at the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas. Fans get an inside look at the daily lives of these men and women as they train and make preparations for the big event which will close out the series.
This season, Sheridan’s “Run for a Million” is back and bigger than ever. Seventeen riders qualify to compete for the $1 million top prize, including more women than ever before. Meanwhile, the “Run for a Million” has expanded to also encompass the equine sports of “cutting” and “cow horse,” which test riders’ ability to work with cattle.
