Prime Video announced today that Todo Por Lucy, a modern, reimagined version of the beloved comedy series I Love Lucy will launch on May 20th exclusively to customers in Latin America and the United States.

In this new series, Lucy is a 21st-century woman who wants to be in love, but doesn’t want to give up her individuality. Mexican actress Natalia Téllez (Después de Ti) stars in the iconic role of Lucy, while Daniel Tovar (Mirreyes Vs. Godínez) plays her husband Ricky. And in another modern update on love, Andrés (Andy) Zuno (Al Diablo con los Guapos) and Daniel Haddad (La Búsqueda) play the couple Esteban and Federico, who are Lucy and Ricky’s next-door neighbors.

The series was developed and produced by Endemol Shine Boomdog, who teamed with Elefantec Global to acquire the rights and create an adaption of the classic comedy. The format rights were licensed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Leonardo Zimbrón (Subete a Mi Moto) served as the show’s executive producer, while Joe Rendon is the showrunner/director.

Prime members will be able to watch the series exclusively through the Prime Video app for TVs, connected devices including Fire TV, mobile devices and online. Members can also download the series on mobile devices to view without an internet connection and at no additional cost to their membership.
