Endemol Shine North America, a division of Banijay Americas, is teaming with KT Studios and its founder, CEO Stephanie Lydecker to develop and produce original podcasts, it was announced today by Sharon Levy, Chief Content Officer, Endemol Shine North America.

Endemol Shine North America, the studio behind such hit series as “MasterChef,” “Lego Masters,” “Wipeout” and upcoming “Foodtastic” (Disney+) and “Pride & Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance,” (Peacock), is teaming with KT Studios, whose recent hit, “The Piketon Massacre” was the #1 podcast in the country with nearly 20 million impressions and was lauded as one of the best podcasts of the year.

Together, Endemol Shine North America will develop a broad range of podcasts, initially focused within the true crime, relationships, music, food and female-centric genres. In addition to developing original concepts, the partnership will also look to leverage titles from Banijay’s industry-leading library of formats for exploitation in the podcast space. The podcasts will also be used to produce companion podcasts for on-air U.S. series and to incubate ideas and test concepts/IP for future television adaptations.

KT Studios creates, develops and produces content for all platforms, including its documentary “Murdered and Missing in Montana” (Peacock and Oxygen), “Injustice with Nancy Grace” (series, Oxygen), “The Masked Singer” Podcast (FOX), “The Dougherty Gang” podcast (iHeartMedia) and upcoming premieres “Crazy in Love” (iHeartMedia) and “Death Island” (iHeartMedia). KT Studios is currently shooting several documentaries for streaming platforms and a major U.S. cable network.

“Expanding our storytelling approach to the podcast space is incredibly important to us as creators,” says Levy. “We want to make compelling content that audiences can find and in a way that’s best for them. Stephanie and her team have enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in the podcast space and pairing them with our development department and our company’s vast library should make for a potent combination.”

“Sharon Levy is one of the finest and most fearless content creators in our industry,” says Lydecker. “The entire KT Studios team – led by CCO, Courtney Armstrong and I are excited to bring a fresh and imaginative premium slate to the podcast marketplace.” Lydecker continues, “This strategic partnership with Sharon Levy and the entire Endemol Shine North America team has limitless potential.”
