Endemol Shine Brasil, a division of Banijay, the world’s largest independent content producer and distrbutor, has just announced that Adriane Freitas – known as Nani – has been promoted and assumes the position of CEO, responsible for the entire operation of the office in Brazil.
Since May, Freitas has been acting, on an interim basis, as the company’s general director. At Endemol Shine Brasil, she has previously served as Operations Director, Vice President of Production and Operations, Production Manager of TV, Digital and Branded Content projects. With nearly 20 years in the executive production area, she has worked for companies such as Grupo Bandeirantes, SporTV and New Content.
“Occupying such an important and relevant chair within one of the world’s leading production companies fills me with enormous pride. And today, as women fight for salary equity and leadership positions, this is a recognition that is accompanied by a feeling of true gratitude. It was years of hard work and I feel very honored,” says Freitas.

Freitas continues to report to the president of Endemol Shine Latino, Laurens Drillich, who manages the operation from Miami. “I couldn’t be happier having Nani step into the role of CEO. In addition, today we have an extremely dedicated and talented team at Endemol Shine Brasil, that will continue to create and produce extremely high quality content and partner with all broadcasters, platforms, channels and brands in Brazil,” says Drillich. “This way Endemol Shine Brasil will continue the remarkable growth we have experienced over the last few years and be the producer of the best known and most successful formats in the country.”
Under Freitas’ command, Endemol Shine Brasil today produces and licenses content that are the country’s audience leaders, including The Masked Singer, Love is Blind, MasterChef, Canta Comigo, Rolling Kitchen Brazil, Dança dos Famosos, BBB, No Limite, in addition to several branded content projects such as Gincana da Grana, Hair Pantene, Ilhados com Beats, Fora da Rota, among others.
