Jesse Daniels Named Senior Vice President, Development & Current, Bunim/Murray Productions

Bunim/Murray Productions, a division of Banijay Americas, has promoted Emmy-nominated producer Jesse Daniels to Senior Vice President, Development and Current, it was announced today by Julie Pizzi, President & CEO, Bunim/Murray Productions.

Daniels, who has been with Bunim/Murray since 2017, leads the company’s expanded efforts into documentary development and production and has served as an executive producer on many of BMP’s recent series, including the upcoming Confessions of Octomom for Lifetime.

Daniels created, developed and executive produced Bunim/Murray’s Emmy-nominated, Peabody Award-winning Surviving R Kelly, Part 1, and also served as an executive producer on Surviving R Kelly, Part 2 and Part 3 for Lifetime. He served as an executive producer on BMP’s recent The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson (Lifetime) and the unscripted series I Survived Bear Grylls (TBS).

“Jesse has been behind the development and production of many of our award-winning documentaries over the last decade and he’s proven himself to be one of our most versatile, talented producers,” says Pizzi. “Jesse has focused his development on the documentary space, working closely with real people who have a story to tell, he expertly helps them translate their journey into an authentic and captivating narrative.”

Additionally, Daniels was behind the development of hit international documentary series Take A Chance (Amazon Prime UK), The Prize of Silence (Viaplay), and Under the Radar (Viaplay). Daniels also created and served as EP on the live event stunt Photoshop Battles Live for Reddit.

Before joining Bunim/Murray, Daniels was the Director of Development for Entertainment One’s unscripted television division. While at eOne, he headed the development of Nicole and Jionni’s Shore FlipOn Tour With, and Growing Up Hip Hop, Atlanta. He also has held executive roles at Maverick TV, One Three Media, and Jenner Communications. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a B.A. in Communications and Media Studies.
